I've never seen a more charming national memorial/park than Stonewall National Monument. It's close to the
#1 train station on Christopher St. This park is well-kept and clearly receives a lot of attention! It's a beautiful small peaceful spot in comparison to the rest of New York City, and it's really clean, unlike some other parks. The rangers are friendly and knowledgeable, and whoever manages the park likes to shake things up every now and then. It's well worth a visit, and it's surrounded by historical landmarks! It may appear to be just another small park in the city, but it is well worth a visit, particularly for LGBT people and their supporters. Special events are, predictably, LGBT-focused, and guests can discover much more about the equality movement and current challenges at these events. There are a few benches around the park, so come here if you need to sit down after a walk or if you just got some food from a local restaurant. You can't miss it since everything is covered in rainbow flags.
