If you’re looking for a place to get your nails done. This is the spot. Nails by Sia is in Kew Gardens are she does the most GORGEOUS acrylics. Don’t go there if you just want a regular polish. That’s a crime. Besides, she only does acrylics, so there! I’ve been to Nail Salons throughout the city, and she really does ART. You can get a shimmery effect, or she’ll do rhinestones on them if you ask. It’s by appointment only, so call now! Support your local businesses, people!
So my mother is a tea person, and I’m a coffee person. That means it’s REALLY HARD to find a cafe that makes good tea and good coffee. Alteaz is sort of our middle ground, though. We both adore it there! The teas are organic, fresh, and handmade. They have custom blends there they sell for wholesale prices, which is great for my mom (and her budget). Then!!!! Most importantly for me!!! They do blends of coffee where they try out different roasts and beans. Whatever they come up with is delicious. If you’re in Kew Gardens, DEFINITELY give this place a try!
I had no idea there was a carousel in Forest Park?!?! I was walking through the park just minding my own business, and sure enough, I came upon a carousel, it’s so pretty! I just moved to the area, so I’m dying to learn more about it 😊 I looked it up, and it’s one of the two last surviving HAND CARVED (!!!) carousels by Daniel Carl Muller. It’s also an NYC Designated Landmark! I looked up Daniel Carl Muller, and he’s pretty famous. He was actually known for doing realistic carousel figures! On top of that, this thing has been around since the late 1800s. Is it closed for the season? It looked closed when I went today ☹️ does anyone know when it reopens??
