We visit New York at least once a year and always make a point of stopping here at Gramercy Cafe. It's simply relaxing. The weather was lovely this time, so the solarium windows were open, making it even more enjoyable. The service is polite and responsive, the food is always great and sufficient, and the prices are fair for New York. We had a wide range of options from the menu, there were no big lines or delays, and both breakfast and dinner were well-prepared, flavorful, and filling. What more could you want? I wouldn't recommend the stuffed cheese shells, but I would recommend all of the other dishes I ordered. The meal includes a main course, a vegetable, a little soup, and a salad. The portions were quite substantial. I was often tempted to order dessert, but I couldn't take another bite. The cuisine is delicious, inexpensive, and reminiscent of home cooking. The chicken fingers and sandwiches are both fantastic. The staff was intelligent and a pleasure to converse with; this establishment should be recognized for its delicious food, reasonable pricing, and excellent service. Give it a try if you just want to unwind and have a wonderful meal.

What a fantastic meal. We visited Gramercy Tavern on a colleague's advice and were not surprised. We showed up early for a drink at the bar but decided to eat outside instead. On the street level, they have a covered dining area. Our reservation was confirmed, and after a round of drinks, we were soon seated. On a busy evening, you'll want to make reservations. I ordered the gazpacho and we had appetizers for the table. I have a fantastic recipe that I like to compare. That was a lot better! They offered a fair choice of little half tomatoes and other vegetables in addition to the tomato basis. A flavorful oil was drizzled over the soup. I ordered the tilefish entrée, which came with some vegetables. It was encrusted with a delicious herb crust. The hanger steak entrée was served to another table visitor. The meat was tender and tasty, and it was cooked to perfection. The portions were large, especially considering the price. We think the lunch was well priced. Beignets, chocolate cake, blintzes, a sundae, and cookies were among the treats we served. With a coffee martini on top. What a fantastic vacation!! I was afraid the street would be noisy, but it wasn't the night we were there. The shaded dining area shielded us from the hustle and bustle of the city..

Gramercy Park is lovely in any season. It is always, always, always serene and beautiful. Part of this is due to the fact that just a few individuals are allowed to access the park, and most of them only come once in a while. The park, however, is always visible to the public since the iron fence around it does not block views, and the landscaping is meant to keep the park visible to anybody standing outside the barrier. While there are few individuals inside the fence, there are plenty of people outside doing everything from mundane to famous things. There aren't many locations in the world like this. Visitors to the area should be aware that there are no benches beyond the barrier. I felt fortunate to be able to see a park with such a rich history and intriguing sculptures. If I had a key to this park, I would spend a lot of time reading here because it is the ideal setting for a novel. The park's exclusivity is actually a blessing because it provides a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of New York City. Huge crowds from all around the city, along with pollution and huge clouds of smoke filling the sky, and this is like a small haven away from it all.
