Such a fun concert venue! Go in the summer for a rooftop show, or catch an intimate show in their downstairs room! We saw Moziah here in the winter and the energy was unmatched, both on stage and on the dance floor. 🕺🏼🎶
If you want to dance your face off, Avant Gardner is the venue for you! I’ve seen such a wide range of artists here, from the groovy indie Tom Misch to trance’s finest, Above & Beyond. This venue is massive, the sound/production quality is awesome, and the staff is friendly. I love that you hook up your credit card to a bracelet for easy payments at the bar.
I had the most INCREDIBLE dinner at Win Son! This cozy and effortlessly hip Taiwanese restaurant has such an amazing menu full of shareable, hearty deliciousness! Do not skip the fried eggplant with labne or the pork buns which are drenched in a herby chili vinaigrette! Stop by the bakery on your way out if you have time.
Love starting the week healthy but also really love hops? Beer Karma (Union and Conselyea) has a Monday night run club that’s the best of both worlds. Even if you aren’t a triathlete, it’s a great way to meet other craft beer people in the neighborhood and actually look forward to Mondays. Also: runner’s specials. 🍻
What's up, guys? So, I am always searching for good spots around the neighbourhood, especially for dating and some fun time with guys. So, recently I found an exciting club which got my attention. It is called Kick Axe Throwing. I had a date a while back and couldn't decide on a good spot. I asked her, and she told me about this club. Even the name caught my attention. So, on a Saturday evening, we landed on its entrance, and we were taken into a hotel-like atmosphere with an open bar and comfy couches. At the first glimpse, I loved it, and my girl had already seen this place; she looked happy too. What is unique about this place is that you can play throwing games. Especially the axe throwing is an incredible experience. So, an instructor started guiding me on how to throw it, and she demonstrated with a perfect hit. I was naturally impressed because you only see this sort of thing in movies. Right? I failed badly at my first turn, and my girl hit the spot almost perfectly. I was like, whaaaat? So, the guy, I recommend this place for an exciting night out. Have any of you ever come here? It is a must-see spot for the newcomers in the neighbourhood.

Have you ever imagined what an indoor park will look like? I recently saw an ultimate indoor park known in the neighbourhood as Area53 Adventure Park. I am talking about the one in Williamsburg, no Dumbo. It was an outdoor office activity sponsored and funded by the company I work for. Our sales manager is a fun guy, and he has a knack for paintball. So, we went to the park and got dressed up in "soldier suits" with masks and other safeties. It was a fun park with excellent indoor activities like paintball, laser tag and obstacle areas. I mean, if you come here and get a few adventurous neurons firing in your brains - you guys are gonna love this environment. So, we went to the arena, which was booked for our office teams. We were divided into two groups, and the game was to shoot the other team. The built-in sensors would automatically count a score when a paint bullet hit a player. It was an entertaining activity, and I felt like training in an army camp. So, how many of you have played paintball? I am sure you will love it.

Recently, I took a walking tour with one of my remote Colleagues, who came here for a few days from Califonia. We walked through Brooklyn's catchy Williamsburg. I know that walking around the neighborhood is not fun for some of you, but then again, you guys are locals, so you may not feel the importance and beauty of your surroundings. This tour is called the best of Brooklyn walking tour, and the guide was a very astounding lady. The way she spoke reminded me of the accent of an old English film. Perhaps it was Irish. I love that accent. Guys, I have been living in New York for quite some time now, but when we reached the waterfront, the Skyline of the city was incredible. Few gals with us even said "waoo." Of course, you know how beautiful the City Skyline looks from the waterfront. Jenny (my colleague) loved every moment of it, especially when she saw some graffiti or a historically significant building. She is a bit of a geek, I think. Do you have any friends or family visiting you from other parts of the States? You can show them around as much as you like, but I will recommend this tour at least once.
