Following are the places you can visit while your stay in Remsen. • Adventure Horse Riding: Best Horseback Riding in Remsen are Adirondack Saddle Tours, Canterbury Stables, Far More Horse Farm. • Pixley Falls State Park: Pixley Falls State Park's main attraction is the 50-foot waterfall, close to the picnic area. This picturesque park also features steep, wooded hills and a mountain stream. A nature trail meanders through the forest and past Pixley Falls. The park has access to numerous miles of trout streams. • Delta Lake State Park: Delta Lake State Park is located on a peninsula extending into Delta Reservoir because of its location to the reservoir and its unique landform, there is a great amount of water frontage, and many of the activities available are water-related. These activities include swimming, fishing, and boating with a boat launch facility available in the park during the summer months and ice fishing in the winter. Other activities include camping and picnicking, with a food concession open during the summer. You’ll find the terrain is wooded and generally flat. Campers can enjoy 101 tent, trailer, or RV camping sites and there is a sandy beach with swimming in the summer. For winter visitors there are approximately 3 miles of marked and groomed cross-country ski trails, which are also used for hiking during the summer months. There is no fee charged to use these trails. The trails are for the novice to intermediate skier. The trail system is a series of loops that allow the skier or hiker to follow a route of their preferred distance.
