Who does not like dogs in New York City? I think more than 90% of pets are dogs here. Yes, they may vary from size to kind, but they are dogs. And having a dog with you is exciting, having a close and faithful friend. I am a big-time dog lover. So, naturally, I have a dog. I got it a few years back from this excellent place called Puppies Supply. As I walked into the store, I saw many faces in various compartments; I am not going to say cages - I'm not too fond of the word. So, numerous dog faces were staring at me, and I searched for the one. Should I get a Westie, Yorkie or Maltese? Of course, Bulldog was out of the question - they demand more care. So, I got a beautiful puppy for me in the end and headed home. He is my closest friend, and he is with me almost daily on the streets - especially in the evenings. Also, a dog in the house will keep your kids busy, and it is a healthy activity in this age of smartphones and laziness. How many dog owners are, and where do you take them for a walk?

Did I mention that I love pools? So, I am a swimmer and like to live in water from time to time. Some time ago in summer, I used to go to this fantastic public pool called Kosciuszko Pool. This was near my workplace so, whenever I got off, I used to go there and relax for around 15 minutes or so. Also, it was a good exercise, so it was a win-win situation. After all, it is a difficult thing to maintain a gym and work at the same time. I mean, how many of you go to work and then gym every day? However, it is easy to say that it is pretty challenging to stick to a routine. So, if you visit this pool in summer, make sure to bring a combination lock with you a swimsuit and keep the kids at home. It is a public pool so, you can expect a rush hour. There is a shallow area for kids, but I recommend you not bring them here. It is winter season, and only penguins are pooling, so it is closed. So, have you ever visited this pool?

I am not much old-school, but I visited Fulton Street in Clinton Hills. I was amazed and thought that I had gone back a few hundred years in time. The carriage houses of the past (which have been refurbished) reminded me of the one in the old westerns. Those stunning brownstones are something to look at. Also, Fulton street is crowded and teaches you a thing or two about New York lifestyle and suburban charms. It was a fantastic experience. I roamed around in the most excellent bars and restaurants. Music, dance performances, plays - you name it, everything is there in Fulton Street. It is simply incredible. If you are an out-towner here for a visit or work, I highly recommend taking a stroll in Fulton Street. If you come here, drink at Doris and eat at Sisters. I loved it, and I am sure you will too. Do you live in New York? Or near Clinton Hill? Check this place out.
