You should definitely visit The DiscOasis in NYC! This immersive theatrical experience unites art, light, music, dance, live performances, roller skating, and good vibes at the iconic Wollman Rink in Central Park. Discover “The Perfect Summer Night in the City” (New York Times). You can skate to timeless roller-rink classics, dance to new music from their guest DJs, explore unique and fantastical art installations, snap a few thousand photos for the gram, or just have a seat and a snack while you take in the best choreography on four wheels. Whenever you visit, you will be immersed in the glittering paradise. From 10:00am-4:30pm The DiscOasis will be open for one-hour or three-hour open skating sessions. From 5:30-10:00pm The DiscOasis comes to life with dazzling lights, live DJs, and a musical show with a cast of roller-skating performers directed and choreographed by a Tony Award nominated director/choreographer. I promise you, you will not be disappointed! 😁

  • Commissioned by the nascent Public Art Fund in 1979, Noguchi’s eleven-foot black basalt menhir was sited at what is now Doris C. Freedman Plaza at Central Park near 59th Street and Fifth Avenue for its initial exhibition through mid-January 1981. Noguchi then offered the sculpture as a gift to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and subsequently it was transplanted to near the museum’s entrance on Fifth Avenue. https://www.noguchi.org

  • Richard Dattner, Iconic Adventure Playground in Central Park. How about a little treasure hunt this weekend? The iconic playground was designed in 1967 by the well-known architect R. Datter and renovated in 2015, waiting for you to play. For more information, I add two very interesting articles. https://www.tclf.org/news/features/central-parks-iconic-adventure-playground-open-again https://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/16/arts/design/16shat.html

  • So I heard a lot about ‘The Lake’ at Central Park and decided to visit it with friends a few days ago. It’s not a huge park but it’s much more relaxing and a calm place to visit. If you want to stay away from the busy life and spend some time in nature, then this place has got to be your ideal. One mistake we made was that we went in the afternoon and the place was a bit crowded so we couldn’t get the most out of it. Morning times 9 to 11 AM are the best if you want to visit the Lake. Anyways, we did have a lot of fun fishing as we tried catching some fish. Boating was a great experience too! There were many people boating at the same time as us, so it felt a bit crowded. I’d visit once again with my family somedayy. I could see many visitors from other places as well and how they were enjoying the view of the Lake. We took amazing pictures in different places and I can’t wait to share them with my friends!

  • Since we recently moved around in the area, I and my wife decided to explore new restaurants and cafes. That’s when I came through Loeb Boathouse in Central Park. I made reservations for brunch for the two of us on a Saturday. We walked around the park for a while and since it was snowing, we were too cold and tired enough!! We went to the restaurant around 11 AM and were delighted enough to see how beautiful it was from the inside. There was a pleasant aroma and tables were organized properly. Oh and I forgot to mention, the VIEW! We were super hungry by that time so we quickly started off with some coffee along with French toast. They were absolutely delicious!! The toasts were filled with some raspberry mascarpone filling. later we tried the tasty bacon Mac & Cheese which my wife absolutely loved. There was a lot to eat in the Brunch and everything was fresh and tasty. In the end, we had some fresh assorted pastries. I liked the apple sauce ones and my wife Sara liked the blackcurrant jam ones. It looks even more romantic in the evening so I cant wait to take out my wife for a dinner there!

  • I had no idea the North Meadow Baseball Field 3 was so huge and lively! I mean, I did hear about it but when I visited the field a few days ago, it looked so big. The greenery and fresh air were so soothing to eyes. I took my kids there to play some baseball since they’re a lot sporty and kept on insisting me to take them out to play. It’s a great place for kids, especially teens so if you live nearby, you should check it out as well. The North Meadow consists of baseball, softball, soccer and football fields which explains it is super big! I rested and walked around for some time while my kids played baseball. There were people enjoying picnics with their families and it was a lovely evening. There were mostly sporty people at the field in their gears. Overall, I’d say the meadow is quite refreshing for all kinds of activities whether you want to practice yoga, sports, have picnics, and whatnot. It’s a perfect place to visit on weekends! My kids were super tired when we got home and I could tell they had some really good time.. Next time I’ll bring a few sandwiches and a juice pack along so we can have a little picnic as well!!

  • I’ve been a bit of a homebody lately, so it’s my goal this weekend to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. Living right next to Central Park makes this pretty easy. I love visiting the Central Park Zoo in the winter because it’s less crowded. Outside of the zoo, the park is chock-full of options for sledding, ice-skating, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. If the snow keeps up, you better believe I’m going to make a snowman this weekend!
