As a resident of Bensonhurst, the neighborhood here has a quiet nightlife, good amount of schools nearby, extremely safe and has many buses and trains nearby. The only downside is the houses here are quite expensive. Bensonhurst is an overall good neighborhood to be in.
Bensonhurst is home to my favorite Brooklyn Public Library. "The Highlawn branch is located at 1664 West 13th Street, near the intersection with Kings Highway. The branch was renovated in 2005–2006. Unlike most other BPL branches, it contains a circular reading room with multicolored walls." Highlawn is such a great place to bring my remote work for the day. Have you been? We're so lucky to have this library in our community.
Growing up, we would visit Little Italy for every special occasion. The smell of the Italian bakeries in Bensonhurst still makes my heart sing! I think it's time to being my own kids here for our celebrations. What is the quickest way to get here from Times Square during rush hour?
I was dragged to participate in this fish-biting frenzy by my sister. So I decided to have this ticklish experience of getting a fish feet massage. I had never done this before. I went to ‘BeBe Day Spa’ for the regular spa but decided to give the fish spa a shot (it was only $7 which was quite cheap honestly). At first, I was afraid to soak my feet (thanks to the girl who told me to close my eyes and let the fish nibble at the sole of my feet). It felt strange in the beginning but soon I got used to the sensation. It’s not like they chew chunks off your feet, all the fishes seemed so friendly as if they wanted to kiss my feet. My feet felt so neat and beautiful after this spa (though I have no courage to go for the whole body spa - it’s only for the brave). P.S. If you ever want to try the fish spa, don’t immerse your whole feet. Use lotion afterward as it can cause some rashes later on.

I never tried Sushi before but my friend brought me to this traditional Japanese Sushi Place and I can say, the recommendation was spot on. We live in Queen and she drove me 40 minutes to try the Sushi and I am glad she did. The food was both aesthetically pleasant and tasty. We ordered snowballs, avocado hand rolls, and fried noodles. Everything was fresh and the taste was really good I could feel all the flavors (totally loved it). The rates were reasonable which I loved (I mean not every New Yorker is rich). Btw, you will find a sexy crowd around. I flirted not only with the sushi but a really handsome guy sitting next to my table. (Though we couldn't exchange numbers, sigh)! Anyways back to Sushi, I really enjoyed my experience and I am really looking forward to trying more Sushi types here. I owe my friend for such an amazing night out!

I Have a PlayStation and I play video games on it all the time (pro gamer). Sometimes solo, sometimes with friends. I heard a lot about VR gaming so I made a plan with my gaming buddies to check it out if it’s worth it. We decided to go to “Futuristic VR Rooms” as it was quite near. It was my first experience at VR gaming and It was phenomenal. They had a lot of games to try out. We didn’t know anything about the VR system, but the staff explained the whole process. They even suggested some great games too. We played multiplayer games divided into two teams. I have to admit PlayStation is nothing in front of VR gaming. I had so much fun that I have decided to come here every weekend. The overall vibe of this place was great. They host private events like birthday parties too. I have upgraded my gaming passion. You all gamers should definitely try VR gaming too and if you live in Bensonhurst, this place is great to do it.

You know what’s the hardest thing to find in Bensonhurst? An affordable apartment, you must be thinking. Yeah, that too but I’ll say ‘A good tailor’ (and then promptly take it off) because I have found the best tailor in BensonHurst and its name is Angelica's Custom Tailors. I have been living in BensonHurst for a while now but my experience with the tailors has been a constant disappointment. My friend was getting married and my three-piece suit needs some alterations. I couldn't afford an amateur tailor to mess with my suit. That’s when a friend suggested Angelica's Custom Tailors (I owe him big for this!) I went to the shop and told the tailor what changes were required. They were professional and cooperative. I got my clothes today as per the deadline and I have to say that they did a great job. It was the best tailor work I have ever seen. Now whenever I have any problem with my clothes, I trust these guys and they always return me with 100% perfection. This is a true blessing for me!
