My Brother dropped her 4-year-old daughter at my house due to some urgency. She always likes to stay at my home, because we do a lot of fun activities together. This time she asked me to take her to Fairytale Island as some of her friends are coming there too. It was the order of my niece and I was more than happy to take her to it. When we reached there, her friends were already there waiting for her. It was a nice indoor play center for kids. My niece was having so much fun here. The play area was quite big and colorful. There were swings and trampoline along with car toys and a big ball pit. The staff was very nice to all the kids. They charge 18$ per kid for the whole day which I think is pretty reasonable considering how much effort they put for kids to enjoy. She had so much fun here, which matters the most, they host birthday events too, and I promised her, that we would celebrate her next birthday here.

We heard about the Gingerbread house on local news during our visit to New York on Christmas and decided to stop by. Came to see this house with my friends and wow! It really is a real-life Gingerbread house - a true landmark of art. Anyone who loves fairytale houses, trust me, this comes very close. Built in 1917, it’s a very unique house made up of uncut stones. With lights and Christmas trees, it really looked like a magical place with high hills of grass. The backyard is on the opposite side where you can see and hear all types of birds. It was so calm and peaceful that I forgot I was in Brooklyn. Another plus of this area was that all the houses were decorated, which gave me a feeling that I walking in a wonderland. It is a hidden gem in Bay ridge (Well, not so hidden because it’s so big and magnificent). I am really looking at my calendar thinking about when I can squeeze in another visit. Have you guys visited this house ever?

After a long pause due to Covid, Cinemas are opening again, and what’s better than to watch a marvel movie on the big screen. Spider-man NO Way Home’s hype was real so I picked up my friend and went to the historic Alpine Cinema It was my first time watching a film in this cinema and it was great. . It wasn’t big and stylish but good enough to spend a good time. The tickets were reasonable (12$) and the staff was nice. We got the front row seats because we didn’t want to miss a single detail. The chairs were good and the movie quality was brilliant too. Bathrooms were quite dirty but it’s been a tough time for cinemas due to Covid. I personally had a great time and my friend enjoyed it as well. The Movie was great too even better than my expectations. The Batman is coming out next month and I’m gonna come here again to watch it.

Planning on a weekend get-together with old friends in Bay Ridge? Last week, my friend was in town for a short time, so we decided to meet at a bar. I wanted to go to a place where we can “catch up” and practice the art hour-long drink-and-snack. The place I decided on was The Brooklyn Firefly Bar. Of all the spots, I found it the best for a low-key wine and snack. The bar was looking good from the outside, plus they have an outside sitting area as well. We decided to sit inside as there was a bit cold outside. The best thing about the bar was its vibe and a lot of options for pizza topped with classic Italian ingredients (my friend was happy since she loves to try different style pizzas). We also got our hands on some custom pies and cocktails -A tasty and yummy meet-up, I would say! Not to mention, their live DJ added to the whole vibe! So next time if my friends DM me, ‘Let’s hang out’ I would love to bring them here. It’s worth it!
